Abstract
PURPOSE: To miniaturize the size of a probe insertion device and reduce its weight as well as reduce working space for the probe insertion device used for the measurement of temperature and sampling for blast furnace by detachably attaching the probe insertion device to a truck provided on a take-down type rack base.
CONSTITUTION: Two side bodies 13 whose grooved openings are turned inwards are provided in parallel in the front of the tuyere A of a blast furnace, and a rack 4 is provided inside the grooved openings to form a rack base 2. On the rack base 2, a truck 1 is placed in such a way as to enable it to run on a rail provided on the rack base 2 with the aid of a driving gear 5 engaging with the rack 4 and also an air motor 6 provided on the truck 1. A probe B for the measurement of temperature in the blast furnace and also for sampling is detachably attached to the truck 1, and its tip portion is held on the receiving car 30 of an intermediate supporting truck 29, inserted into the tuyere A, and drawn out. The tack base 2 which is designed to be divided into several parts is disassembled and removed when not in use in order to enlarge working space in front of the blast furnace.
