Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive swivel unit of a rotatable seat which can be manufactured with press forming, by forming each of upper and lower plates of a fixed rail holding a slide rail from both upper and lower sides in separate parts and then fixing them together afterward. CONSTITUTION:A swivel unit 2 consists of a lower plate 2b, intermediate plate 8, upper plate 2a to be rotatable around pivot shaft 3. A plate rail 4' is integrally attached to the front end of the upper plate 2a, while a fixed rail 6 is provided at the position corresponding to the plate rail 4' of a seat slide 5 to which the lower plate 2b is attached. Bracket 6b of a turned square U sectional form is fixedly secured to a plate bracket 6a and guide plates 6c of L-shaped section are fitted face to face vertically in such a manner that the plate rail 4' can be engaged in the opening part of the bracket 6b and slide thereon.
