Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution, by providing a head which simultaneously reproduces two video signals having a time difference of a multiple of one field period from a recording medium and separating noise component through the level difference of both the video signals. CONSTITUTION:A main head gap 8a and a sub-head gap 8b are provided and a video signal shifted by almost one field is reproduced from a magnetic tape 7. A video signal from the main head 8a passes through a preamplifier 9a and a high pass filter 10a, where a luminance signal is separated, and the result is demodulated at an FM demodulator 11a and applied to adders 12 and 13. Similarly, the luminance signal is separated from a video signal from the sub-head 8b, and after FM demodulation the signal is added with in opposite phase with a demodulation signal from the FM demodulator 11a to an adder 12. Noise component is picked up without field correlation at the adder 12 and applied to the adder 13 via a limiter 14, a high pass filter 15 and an attenuator 16 to reject noise component from the FM demodulation signal.
