Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a reliability without spoiling a controlability by a method wherein a cooling water temperature is estimated by the output of a temperature senser provided on a case and the estimated temperature is utilized as a control water temperature data. CONSTITUTION:The control system 4, attached to the internal-combustion engine having a cooling water path 2, is consisting of a resistor-type thermometer 43 detecting the temperature of the case 42, an electronics circuit 45 of a print substrate 41 and the like or the like, while a basic advance angle is calculated by the signals of a revolution detecting device 5 and a suction pressure detecting device 6. Further, the system 4 memorizes the temperature of the thermometer 43 as an initial water temperature immediately after the starting of the engine, estimates the temperature of the cooling water after t second from the starting with a predetermined formula considering the operating condition of the engine to obtain the value of the advance angle for correcting the water temperature, calculates the last ignition timing and outputs a signal to the ignition device 7. According to this method, the detecting device for the cooling water temperature as well as a wire harness belonging thereto may be eliminated and the reliability may be improved.
