Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically output an alarm tone to a maintenance station at the generation of a trouble by selecting one of plural kinds of alarm tones according to the kinds of troubles. CONSTITUTION:When a trouble is generated in a switchboard and an alarm signal ALMC is applied to an alarm sending controlling circuit 1, the circuit 1 starts an automatic outgoing circuit 2 and calls a maintenance terminal through a network NW1, which is not shown in the drawing. When a line supurvisory circuit 3 detects a response from the maintenance operator, the controlling circuit 1 controls a switching circuit 4, sends a warning tone from a warning tone source 5 to the maintenance terminal and then sends one of alarm tones from alarm tone sources 6a-6n to the maintenance terminal according to the kind of an alarm signal ALMC. Consequently the maintenance operator can understand the degree of the trouble. The switching circuit 4 holds the connection status of said alarm tone source until another trouble is generated and prepares for an incoming for reconfirmation from the maintenance terminal.
