Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a counting device having an excellent following performance to a sudden change of measured values, by counting the measured values with plural counters, giving the weighting to the latest counting value and displaying the mean value of each counter. CONSTITUTION:The iterative pulses (a) proportional to the change of measured values are successively counted by the counters 5(1)-5(4) which are selected by the outputs (c), (d), (e) and (f) of a ring counter 3. An adder 7 calculates the total number of the iterative pulses counted by the counters 5(1)-5(4) and by an amount equivalent to the cycle of a clock signal (b) and delivers the number to a mean value circuit 10. At the same time, the latest counting value among the above-mentioned counters is tansferred to a multiplier 9. The multiplier 9 calculates the latest count value in the form of an integer-fold value of multiplication corresponding to the number of counters. This value of multiplication is furthermore multiplied by a constant that sets the weight to the value of addition of the adder 7. The circuit 10 calculates the mean value per calculating period from the values of the adder 7 and the multiplier 9 and then displays it.
