Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high-precision, long-life magnetic disk which has mixed filters burided deep in a coating film and projecting uniformly, by coating an aluminum base plate with a magnetic material, by curing it after vibrating the base plate in a surface direction, and by polishing and finishing it. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum base plate 1 is applied with a magnetic material consisting of fillers 2, magnetic powder 3 and resin 4 and, while the positions of the fillers 2 are not fixed, is vibrated vertically to give one-side large interial force to the magnetic material. In this case, the base plate is vibrated up fast and down slow to sink the fillers 2 to the bottom. The surface is polished and finished until heads of the fillters 2 project. Since the grain size of each filter is a little bit greater than the final film thickness, the project height of the filler is extremely small. As the fillers 2, alumina single crystal having high hardness is used and on projected parts of the fillers, a magnetic head is allowed to contact, start and stop.
