Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of the self-excited inverter, and to ensure the safety of operation by mounting a filter for absorbing higher harmonic currents as the output of the separately excited inverter and connecting the self-excited inverter in parallel with the separately excited inverter. CONSTITUTION:The higher harmonic current absorbing filter 5 connected in parallel with the separately excited inverter 1 absorbs difference between the output currents of the separately excited inverter and the fundamental harmonic currents. One part of higher harmonic filter currents is changed into commutation currents, and the separately excited inverter 1 side is equivalent with a current source supplying simple sine wave currents when the separately excited inverter 1 side is viewed from the output of the self-excited inverter 2'. On the other hand, a plural pair of the self-excited inverters 2' are mounted, the higher harmonic of a voltage wave-form is reduced up to an extent which is not at issue practically, and the voltage wave-form, the output thereof is square wavy, is molded to a sine wave.
