Abstract
PURPOSE: To decompose the odorous components in waste gases efficiently and economically by introducing the high concn. odorous gases generated from org. waste water into an auxiliary aerobic biological treatment stage independent of a water treatment system biological treating stage.
CONSTITUTION: The high concn. odor discharged from the pretreatment stage for waste water is introduced into an auxiliary aerobic biological treatment stage B having an airtight structure of a water treatment system. The liquid mixed with activated sludge of a biological treatment stage A is diverged and introduced into this state B, where it flows down in order of compartments 11W14. High concn. odorous gases are fed into this liquid mixed with activated sludge through the branch pipes 7W10 of a gas release pipe 6, and are aerated. The activated sludge diverged to this stage B is fed from the zone where nourishing contents are exhausted and therefore, BOD, nitrogen and phosphorus as living energy sources and propagation energy sources are removed from odorous components such as methyl mercaptan, methyl sulfide and ammonia. The odorous components in the high-concn. odorous gases are biologically removed effectively.
