Abstract
PURPOSE:To readily repair the damage of a tape, remove dust or the like on the tape, and change the pattern on the tape, by pressing a transfer tape onto a molding that has been extruded and molded and is still in the softened state thereby giving the molding an embossed design. CONSTITUTION:A molding M that has been extruded and molded through an extrusion opening of an extruder 10 is slid by guide rollers 11, and after it is cooled in a cooling tank, it is cut into a desired size. The transfer tape 21 in the shape of a loop and having an inverted embossing design on the surface is guided along the length of the molding M, and is pressed to the molding by rollers 14, 15 so that the surface of the molding is provided with an embossed design. If a part of the transfer tape 21 has incurred a flaw, or dust or the like has adhered to a part of thereof, the repair or the removal of dust can be easily done. As the production cost of the transfer tape 21 is low, it can be readily replaced, and therefore the change in the design can be easily done.
