Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain optimum supercharge pressure of an engine, by controlling the captioned control device with plural pressure signals, having a different characteristic of intake and exhaust passages, and detected signal of engine operating conditions including a knocking condition. CONSTITUTION:Pressure of feed air, supercharged by a compressor 22, can be controlled by open-close controlling a bypass valve 33, provided to an exhaust turbine 14, through an actuator 35 and adjusting output of the exhaust turbine 14. Here signal pressure passages 43, 44, having a different pressure characteristic, are connected to said actuator 35 through a solenoid selector valve 42, and the bypass valve 33 can be controlled to an optimum state by suitably selecting these two pressure signals. Then the selection is operated by a signal, arithmetically obtained and output from a controller 50, in accordance with an engine operating condition signal 51 of knocking level signal or the like.
