Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a variable pitch mechanism and enhance the operatability and durability of the mechanism, by a method wherein a main part of a variable pitch mechanism, is constituted of a ball screw device. CONSTITUTION:The pitch of the blade 1 is changed over following up to the reciprocating motion of a cylindrical cam main body 8 through the ball screw mechanism 2 or the like. Namely, when the cam main body 8 operated in the direction of an arrow, a rod 6 is moved in the direction of the tip of the blade 1 together with a male scre part 4 through a driven pin 7 and a cam groove 10. At this time, since a female screw part 3 is fixed to a hub 13, the male screw part 4 rotatably connected to the rod 6 is rotated in the direction of an arrow, so that the blade 1 connected to the part 4 through a slidable spline mechanism 11 is rotated concurrently with the part 4, thereby performing a predetermined change-over of pitch.
