PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the linearity of the edge of a cleaning blade which has an elastic member of rubber, etc., at a top of a nearly L-shaped metallic fixture, by pressing the cleaning blade against a photosensitive drum in a freely upward and downward, and left and right sliding state. CONSTITUTION:A nearly L-shaped cleaning blade 1 having an elastic member 2 of urethane, rubber, etc., fitted atop is pivoted on the pin 4 of an oscillatory plate 5 rotating around a shaft 6 while having a weight 8. Therefore, the cleaning blade is rotatable around the shaft 6 and pin 4, so the edge 10 of the cleaning blade 1 is pressed against to the peripheral surface of a photosensitive drum 7 by the press-contacting force of the weight 8 to scrape residual toner, and ununiform press-contacting force is absorbed by the oscillatory member, so that the linearity of the edge 10 never deteriorates.
