Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a central controller and to simplify the circuit constitution and to eliminate the blockade, by selecting the frequency signal required within a counter-station interface circuit and synthesizing a digital signal to obtain a multifrequency signal. CONSTITUTION:The signal supplied from a frequency generator 32 is multiplexed with other digital signals, etc. through a time division multiplexing circuit 38 and then supplied in common to the counter-station interface circuits 35A-35D via a common signal bus 39. When a subscriber 31 has a call and wants the connection with the circuit 35A, a central controller 36 delivers an instruction to connect the circuit 35A to the subscriber 31 by a time division switch 33 and via a multiplex channel 34. At the same time, the numerical information given from the subscriber 31 is monitored and transferred to the circuit 35A as a selection signal. The frequency corresponding to the selection signal is digitally synthesized to obtain a coded multifrequency signal. In such way, the load of the controller 36 is reduced, and the circuit constitution is simplified, furthermore, the blockade can be eliminated.
