Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it easy to render an electrical current supply device compact and take contermeasures against abnormalities, by changing an AC voltage into a DC output, turnin on and off the DC output to obtain a control voltage, converting the control voltage into an AC voltage to heat an X-ray emitting filament and feeding a signal corresponding to the current of the filament, back to a turn-on/off circuit. CONSTITUTION:The voltage of an AC power source 1 is changed into a DC voltge by a rectifier circuit 2 and a capacitor 3. The voltage across the capacitor 3 is turned on and off by a transistor 4 while the switching frequency and the turn-on period are regulated by a control circuit 28. As a result, a DC voltge Vc2 is obtained. The voltage Vc2 is converted into an AC voltage by transistors 5a, 5b. The AC voltage is applied to heat the filament 7a of an X-ray tube 7 through a heating transformer 6 and a rectifier circuit 25. The voltage across a resistor 24 is fed back as a signal corresponding to the current of the tube 7, to the control circuit 28 and is comprared with a reference signal Vpat1 to control the current of the tube to a prescribed level. According to this constitution, the loss in the transistor 4 is made very low. An abnormality detection circuit 30 is provided to quicken the response for protection.
