Abstract

PURPOSE:To diminish the waiting time at the start time of combustion and to control the temperature of an evaporator correctly by a method wherein the target temperature always is corrected in accordance with the rate of change of temperatures of a detecting element in a temperature detecting device to reduce the temperature error of the evaporator. CONSTITUTION:A controlling circuit 14 turns on or off an electrical heater 3 by means of the lowest target temperature T10 or the highest target temperature T20. The target temperatures T10, T20 are changed in accordance with the variable rate of temperature Ts of the temperature detecting element which generates heat-time constant gamma. A new lowest limit and highest limit target temperatures T1, T2 always are corrected by T1 T10-gammadTs/dt, T2 T20- gammadTs/dt. In this method, the error DELTAT between an evaporator temperature and the target one can be made small and reduction of the waiting time and correct control of the evaporator temperature at the start of combustion can be carried out.
