Abstract

PURPOSE:To move a magazine toward and backward the machine tool body with acceleration or deceleration, by rotation of chain, a chain having a detent piece to be detained separably by the magazine, on a table furnished close to the machine tool body in such a way as forming a closed loop. CONSTITUTION:When a magazine A is carried out onto a table 26 from a spport table 16, turning the chain 65 counterclockwise will fit the roller follower 74 in a detainer groove 76A provided in the detention plate 75A of the magazine A. With progress of insertion of this roller follower 74 into the detainer groove 76A, the component of velocity in the direction being drawn in increases gradually, and when the maximum speed is attained the speed will become constant. When the link to which the roller follower 74 is attached comes to a position in meshing with the sprocket wheel 64A, the component of velocity in the direction being drawn in decreases gradually to permit the roller follower 74 to slip out of the detainer groove 76A. Thus the magazine A stops on the table 26.
