Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the breaking strength of a cantilever with high specific modulus of elasticity by coating the external circumference of a pipelike cantilever body made of boron or boride with light metal such as aluminum. CONSTITUTION:The external circumference of a cantilever body 9 made of boron or boride of TiB2 in a pipe shape is coated with light metal 10 such as aluminum. The light metal 10 such as aluminum may be provided covering the external circumference of the cantilever body 9 after being shaped in a pipe. Consequently, an impact applied to the cantilever body 9 is absorbed by the light metal 10 to make the cantilever body 9 having high specific modulus of elasticity hard to break because of improved brittleness.
