Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled apparatus in which a clear warning sound can be generated and which can be readily mounted on an exsisting apparatus, by providing a vibrating member that can be attached with its securing part to a side plate section of a back plate, and positioning the tip vibrating section of said member on the abrasion limit surface of a friction member. CONSTITUTION:The titled warning apparatus comprises the vibrating member, that is, a band spring 38 that is attached to one of lug 37 projected from the lower parts on opposite sides of the back plate 20 of an outer pad 24 of a disc brake. The spring 38 has a C-shaped part to be attached to the lug 37, the securing part 40 with a vertically extending positioning stopper 39, a first bent part 42 connected to the securing part 40 and bent into a U-shape, a second bent part 46 connected to the first bent part 42, bent into a U-shape and extending approximately normally to the first bent part 42, and the vibrating section 48 which extends from the second bent part 46 toward a rotor 10 and whose tip reaches the abrasion limit surface A of the friction pad 16.
