Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent cross talk at low frequencies, by using different recording and reproducing frequency characteristics for a gap of magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that l at both ends of gap is as large as l1 and the gap at the center is as small as l2. Thus, at low frequencies, remarkable attenuation is obtained at both ends of recording tracks, allowing to reduce cross talk. The gap 12 is taken large at the center as GM and smaller at the ends as GN. The output at high and low frequencies can be set with a desired rate by suitably selecting the GM and GN.
