Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the socket part of a desired shape, even though the heating temperature of a pipe end is low, by fitting the pipe end to a first mold of which the diameter is expanded, then once contracting its diameter, contacting the pipe end to the outside of a second mold, blocking it with the second mold, expanding the diameter of the first mold and evacuating to a vacuum. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of the rising part 1a of a first mold 1 is expanded, the pipe end of a preheated plastic pipe P is fitted to the mold 1 via a guide 3, the outside diameter of the rising part 1a is contracted until it becomes as same as the outside diameter of a second mold 2 and the pipe P is further sent to the mold 2 side. When a predetermined length of a pipe end part P'a is fitted to an outside of the mold 2, the diameter of the mold 1 is again expanded. All the while, the state in which the end part P'a is blocked with the mold 2 is kept. When a second diameter expansion is finished, a vacuum sucking is done. Because the end part P'a is blocked, a vacuum sucking force is exerted on the part between the rising part 1a and the mold 2, the pipe P is contacted to an entire outside periphery of the mold 1 in the state in which the end part P'a is contacted to the outside of the mold 2, thus a socket part Pa is formed. After the socket part Pa is water-cooled and solidified, the diameter of the mold 1 is contracted and the socket part Pa is taken off from the mold.
