Abstract

PURPOSE:To vary the frequency of an AC voltage relative to the voltage by altering the frequency of the AC output voltage of an AC voltage generator relative to the magnitude of the rectified output voltage of a rectifier. CONSTITUTION:An AC voltage 1 is applied to a rectifier 4 by closing a power source switch 2, and a DC voltage is obtained from DC terminals 43, 44. DC voltages of Ea/2, 2Ea, 3Ea are produced by switching the movable contacts 45A-48A of changeover switches 45-48 to stationary contacts 45L-48L, 45M- 48M and 45H-48H, where the AC input voltage is represented by Ea. The frequency of the AC voltage is controlled between f and 6f in response to the DC output voltage Ea/2-3Ea by varying the switching period of a gate control circuit 57 of an AC voltage generator 5, and a current flowing through a load 6 is maintained constantly.
