Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitive receptor having flat sensitivity over the whole visible range and the wavelength range of a semiconductor laser and superior endurance by adding a specified trisazo compound to a charge generating layer and a specified hydrazone compound to a charge transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer contg. a triphenylamine type trisazo compound represented by formulaIis formed on an electrically conductive support. A charge transferring layer contg. a hydrazone compound represented by formula II[where Ar is (substituted) naphthalene, styryl, anthracene, pyridine, furan or thiophene, and R is alkyl or benzyl]is then formed on the charge generating layer to manufacture a laminate type receptor having a flat high sensitivity over the whole visible range and the wavelength range of a semiconductor laser and superior endurance.
