Abstract
PURPOSE:To lower the cost and reduce the input loss remarkably by combining a Scherbius unit with the opening control of a damper so that the revolution control by the Scherbius unit is performed at or above a certain revolution and the flow control by the damper adjustment is performed below that revolution. CONSTITUTION:In case of 100%-80% flows for instance, a damper 6 is kept fully open and a motor 3 is operated variably by a Scherbius unit 4 (with a capacity corresponding to 100%-80%), thereby driving a blower 2. If less flows are required, the Scherbius unit 4 is kept operating at about an 80% flow and a cylinder 7 is controlld by a flow control unit 8 so that the opening of the damper 6 is changed to control the flow. In this case, the input of the motor 3 is as shown by a curve ABC in the figure. Accordingly, excellent save-energy operations can be performed at a low cost and allowing a major reduction of the input.
