Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of uneven twist setting and untwisting failure by increasing winding tension at a steep slope in the beginning, and then gradually increasing the tension at a gentle slope and finally decreasing the tension at a gentle slope. CONSTITUTION:The initial tension produced in the beginning of winding is made as small as possible within the range where the generation of loosely wound yarn is prevented. A wound yarn layer is linearly increased so that it may become 0.1g/d near A point (about 0.2r) where r stands for the radius of winding tube. The wound yarn layer is gradually increased until it attains 0.15g/d near B point (about 1r) at a slow slope. The wound yarn layer is then decreased to 0.1g/d at C point (winding finish=about 2r). Generally, the thickness of wound yarn layer is 0.1 to 0.3 times the radius of yarn winding tube at A point, and 0.7 to 1.3 times the radius of yarn winding tube at B point as well. Therefore, the thickness of wound yarn layer is properly adjusted by yarn quality and winding volume within the range stated above.
