Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain a higher reliability of insulation in a transformer by arranging such that at least two leads, lead out from the coil of a first unit transformer of two or more unit transformers, are connected in parallel to each other through different windows formed in the iron core of the second unit tranformer. CONSTITUTION:A transformer has, for example, two unit transformers A and B. Each of the unit transformers has a tank 3 filled with an insulation oil 4 and accomodating an assembly consisting of an iron core 2 and a coil formed around the core 1. The unit transformers A and B are connected to each other through lead ducts 5a and 5b provided in the opposing side faces of the tanks 3. The secondary leads 9B and 10B of the low-voltage side and high-voltage side lead out of the unit transformer B are extended through the lead ducts 5a and 5b and are connected to the bushings 11a and 11b of the bushing pocket via different windows formed in the iron core 1 of the unit transformer A. Also, the secondary lead 9A, 10A lead out of the coil 2 of the unit tranformer A are connected to the bushings 11a and 11b. According to this arrangement, it is possible to reduce the size of the transformer and, hence, to save the insulation oil. In addition, a higher reliability of insulation oil. In addition, a higher reliability of insulation is attained because only small part of the lead extends through the lead duct.
