Abstract
PURPOSE:To release gas to the outside without causing any trouble, prevent the internal pressure of a crankcase from abnormally rising, surely separate oil drops from the gas and return the oil to the crankcase. CONSTITUTION:When the internal pressure of a crankcase 4 is heightened, blow- by gas flows into a gear chamber 17 through the breather hole 22 of one partition wall 6a and the clearances of bearings 9a, 14a and so forth. The blow-by gas in the gear chamber 17 flows into the communication hole 21 of a balancing shaft 8 through the opening of the right-hand end face and then enters into a communication hole 25 at the other end of the balancing shaft 8 so that the blow-by gas is conducted into an air cleaner chamber. Oil drops in the communication hole 21 are discharged into the crankcase 4 through oil drop separation holes 24, 24 by centrifugal force.
