Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to wipe off ink for a long time by rotatably providing an ink receiving roller at the side of a platen, and mounting a wiping pad and a finishing pad in an insulating state on the outer periphery of the roller. CONSTITUTION:A roller 30 is rotated at the time of starting printing, an ink is injected from a nozzle in the state that the nozzle is isolated from the roller 30. The flying state of ink particles becomes stable state by this injection of the ink. The ink adhered onto the surface of the roller 30 at this time is wiped off by a lower wiping pad 54, a partition wall 58 becomes a scraping pawl, and most of the ink is absorbed to the pad 54. Small amount of remaining ink is wiped off by a finishing pad 56. At this time, when the absorbing capacity of the pad 54 is large, the roller 30 can be cleaned for a long period of time.
