Abstract
PURPOSE: To continuously obtain a filtrate in a constant flow amount by providing a means for periodically running an elastic ball into a filter and a measns for detecting the flow amount of the filtrate and adjusting pressure is a filter machine.
CONSTITUTION: A filter machine 1 consists of a cylindrical container 2 and a filter 5 provided to the inner side thereof so as to provide a gap part 3. When filtering is carried out, sample water is flowed into the filter machine through an inlet 16, a pipe 17 and a ball container 8 to be filtered by the filter 5 and discharged from a pipe 27. The flow amount of the filtrate is measured by a flow meter 28 and, by the measured signal, the opening degree of a throttle valve 34 is adjusted to control the pressure in the filter machine 1. When the cake on the surface of the filter 5 is inceased, an unit 36 is operated to change over a valve and the sample water is flowed through a pipe 19 and a ball container 7 as purified water and a ball 15 is sent into the filter machine 1 under pressure to release the cake. The released cake is discharged from a discharge port 22 along with purified water.
