Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a driving device for opening and shutting a door for cars which can easily produce a turning force for opening and shutting the door and a thrust for raising and lowering the door by disposing a rotating piston and a lifting piston which interlock with an operation shaft in a cylinder provided with feed ports and output ports at three positions thereof. CONSTITUTION:When pressure air from an air pressure source 6 is supplied to a third port 13 by switching a switching valve 7, pressure of a pressurization chamber 15 rises to push up a rotating piston 2 and push down a lifting piston 4. As the rotating piston 2 is pushed up, a roller 31 of an operation shaft 3 moves in an inclined guide groove 22 to rotate the operation shaft 3, and when a door fixed on the operation shaft 3 is shut to restrict the rotation, the rotating piston 2 is stopped to complete exhaustion from an upper port 11. Consequently, a valve body 52 of a three-way valve 5 is switched and returned to connect a feed port 54 with an output port 53 so that air pressure is supplied to a lower port 12, which causes the lifting piston 4 to rise, whereby the door is fixed.
