Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible the qualitative and quantitative selection of an antifungal agent and antimicrobial agent, by making microorganisms circulating and floating in the axial symmetry in the body of a container collide with and stick to the surfaces of samples rotating in the container, and cultivating the microorganisms with nutriments under the environmental conditions in the container.
CONSTITUTION: A container 1 is placed in a thermostatic chamber 15, and the humidity in the container 1 is kept constant by a humidity variable water tank 9 containing an aqueous solution of glycerol (9a). A blower 13 is controlled by a driving controlling apparatus (C) to supply air and generate a circulating flow of air in the axial symmetry in the container 1 by the rotation of blades 14. Cultivated mold spores fly high along a bowl-shaped culture medium tray 11 by blowing air on the surface (11c) of the culture medium (11b) with the rotation of the blades 14, and borne by the circulating flows and circulated in the direction of arrow (a) on the circulating flows. A motor 4 is driven to rotate samples 8 in the container 1, and the mold spores following the circulating flows are made to collide with and stick to the samples 8 and multiply thereon. The effect is judged by treating the samples 8 with an antimicrobial agent, etc.
