Abstract

PURPOSE:To save electric power while preventing malfunction by using a switch for selecting one of programs and a timer circuit which turns off a power source when any execution is not instructed within a certain time after the program is selected. CONSTITUTION:A switch 6 is used to select a program, and the output signal of the switch 6 is stored in a control means 2 composed of a microcomputer and also starts a timer circuit 10. When the timer circuit 10 is not reset within a certain time, a power-source turning-off means operates to power down the whole circuit. A switch 7 instructs the control means 2 to start execution and also resets the operation of the timer circuit 10. After the operation of the switch 6, the power source is never left turned on successively, so electric power is saved and the sudden start of operation due to disturbance is prevented, so that this controller is suitable for an automatic washing machine, etc.
