Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce higher harmonic components and prevent adverse influence to communication system, by a method wherein input current of an electric motor vehicle is detected and a thyristor bridge rectifier circuit is controlled. CONSTITUTION:Input current i1a of an electric vehicle is detected at 11a by a converter 11, and the detected signal is inputted at 14a to a comparator 15 through filters 12, 22 to which resonant frequency is set in response to command from communication system, absolute value generating circuits 13, 23 and synthetic circuit 14. When the inputted value exceeds a reference value 15a, it is entered at 15b to a phase shifter 7a. If the phase shifter 7a receives the input 15b, commutation angle of the thyristor bridge rectifier circuit 3b is forcedly transferred thereto and current waveform is changed. The changed waveform includes less amount of higher harmonics.
