Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare an agricultural and horticultural fungicide having long- term residual activity and low toxicity, and useful especially for the control of rice blast, by using N-(p-chloro-α-methylbenzyl)-α-bromo-tert-butyl aceamide as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: An agricultural and horticultural fungicide is prepared by using N-(p-chloro-α-methylbenzyl)-α-bromo-tert-butyl acetamide as an active component. The agent exhibits strong fungicidal effect and high and long residual activity against the pathogenic microorganisms giving remarkable damages to cultured crops, e.g. Phycomycetes, Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, incomplete microbials, etc., especially rice blast. It has extremely weak toxicity to man, animals and fish, and very little residual tendency in crops. The agent can be used as a conventional preparation form. The amount of the active component in the preparation is 0.1W99.9wt%, especially 0.2W80wt%, and its application rate is 10W 1,000g per 10 ares.
