Abstract
PURPOSE:To make repeated use of a thermal transfer sheet possible, by sticking a sheet of heat-resistant polymer film or paper to one side of porous paper impregnated with heat-fusible ink. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of heat-resistant polymer film or paper is pasted to one side of a sheet of porous paper impregnated with heat fusible ink. A heat-fusible ink to be used is primarily composed of a low melting point resin, a color forming agent and a softener. As the low melting point resin, carnauba wax, beeswax, paraffin wax, low molecular weight polyethylene, etc. are used. As the color forming agent, an inorganic or organic dye is used and as the softner, oleic acid, castor oil, etc. are used. As the porous paper, it is especially preferable to use Japanese paper. As the polymer film, polyester film or condenser paper is desirable.
