Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the torque setting and improve the durability by fitting a roller between two rotating members and indirectly allowing a spring to operate so that the roller is inserted into a clutch groove for transmission of rotations. CONSTITUTION:Lengthwise holes 3 on the side wall and concaves 6 on the outer face of a cylindrical body 1 with an opened bottom are provided in turn at a uniform interval, a tool such as a tap, etc. is fitted to the bottom inside of the cylindrical body, a socket 8 with vertical grooves 10 formed at the corresponding positions to the lengthwise holes 3 is inserted, a cylindrical intermediate body 18 with clearance grooves 19 on its inner wall corresponding to the lengthwise holes 3 and with through holes 20 on its side wall corresponding to the concaves 6 is fitted, then roller 4 is inserted into the lengthwise holes 3 and balls 7 are inserted into the through holes 20. The balls 7 are pressed inward by means of a suppression member energized downward by a spring 25 so as to couple with the concaves 6, and the roller 4 is coupled with the clearance grooves 19 for transmission of rotations. When the torque becomes large, the balls are freed out of the concaves and the socket is released from the cylindrical body, then the roller enters into the clearance grooves.
