Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of a rotary electric machine by providing projections at a rotor bar or in the vicinity of the radial center of slots when the rotor bar is supported and fixed via the projections in the slots, thereby alleviating the stress concentration due to thermal expansion and eliminating the damage of the bar. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor bar 3 is inserted into a slot formed at a rotor core 1 and is supported and fixed via projections 10, the projections 10 are formed in the vicinity of the radial center of the bar 3 and are engaged with a rotor duct 5. Then, the projection may be formed in the vicinity of the radial center of the slot and may be engaged with the rotor bar. In this manner, the bar 3 can be fixed at the position where joule heat projection loss is less. Accordingly, the damage due to a stress concentration can be prevented, thereby enhancing the reliability of the rotor.
