Abstract

PURPOSE:To vaporize an analysis specimen after vaporizing the solvent by controlling temperature of the electric heat generating body at the end of a probe that is freely detachably installed at a specimen introducing tube. CONSTITUTION:A solvent removal device 1 consists of an electric heat generating body 2 which is provided on the tip end of a probe 4 that is freely removably enclosed in a sample introduction tube 5 and an electric power source 3 that controls the temperature of a heat generating body 2. A sample for analysis is introduced by a micro syringe 6 and attached on the heat generating body 2 by surface tension. With a probe 4 at the end 20 of the sample introduction tube 5 or in the atmosphere, a cock 8 is brought into a first state 30 and a valve 10 is opened. The temperature of the heat generating body is raised to a temperature at which only the solvent is vaporized to remove it. Next, the valve 10 is closed at the cock 8 is brought into the second state 31 and moved to the end 21 of the sample introducion tube 5, and the temperature of the heat generating body 2 is raised by rapidly heating to the temperature at which the analysis sample is vaporized, and the vaporized sample is introduced into a column 6 by means of a carrier gas.
