Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain sol or gel suitable for coating material and having no crystals therein at a room temperature, by dissolving cystalline polypropylene in a specified solvent.
CONSTITUTION: To obtain sol or gel having no crystals at a room temperature, by dissolving crystalline polypropylene in one solvent selected from the group consisting of A, B, C and D. A is a 6W10C aromatic compound (e.g., toluene), B is a compound prepared by totally or partially hydrogenating the aromatic ring of compound A (e.g., cyclohexane), C is compound obtained by replacing 1W3 hydrogen atoms of A or B with a halogen (e.g., o-dichlorobenzene) and D is a linear or cyclic 10C or lower ketones, a sulfur compound (e.g., CS2), a saturated or 5C or lower halogen-containing compound, or a 6C or lower compound having at least two ether groups (e.g., dioxane).
