Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable more accurate measurement of an output than before by a simple method wherein the control of temperature is made by using a reference solar cell for detecting the temperature, which is formed of the same material with that of a solar cell to be measured, in a method wherein the output of the solar cell is measured by using a solar simulator. CONSTITUTION:A reference solar cell 12' of which the relation between the open-circuit voltage and temperature is measured accurately beforehand under the illuminance of 100mW/cm<2> and which is formed of the same material with that of a solar cell 1 to be measured is placed near the cell 1 set on a supporting board 14 which is irradiated with the fixed illuminance by a solar simulator. The supporting board 14, the solar cell 1 and the reference solar cell 12' whose temperatures are raised under the irradiation by the simulator are cooled by a cooling blower 13 having a function to ratain the above units at the same prescribed temperature and being controlled automatically, thereby both solar cells 1 and 12' are retained at the temperature of 28 deg.C, and the output of the solar cell 1 is measured accurately under said condition.
