Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition having high adhesivity to the inner wall of the root canal after filling and exhibiting excellent antibacterial activity, and consisting of the first agent containing zinc white as main component and the second agent containing eugenol as main component, by adding a specific amount of a chlorohexidine salt to the first agent.
CONSTITUTION: In the two-pack-type cement composition for the filling of the dental root canal and consisting of the first agent containing zinc white as main component and the second agent containing eugenol as main component, a chlorohexidine salt is added to the first agent in an amount of 0.01W2wt%, preferably 0.1W1wt% based on the whole first agent. The chlorohexidine salt is, e.g. chlorohexidine hydrochloride, chlorohexidine acetate, etc. The ratio of the first agent to the second agent is usually 1 to about 0.15W0.2 (by weight). The amount of the zinc white in the first agent is preferably 30W75%, and that of the main component in the second agent is preferably 70W90%.
