Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of an injection mold by mounting signal units on hoppers in which various types of coloring materials are filled and sequentially selectively moving the hoppers in accordance with an instruction of a controller which operates with the signal from the signal unit, thereby automating the supply of the coloring materials. CONSTITUTION:A movable plate 25 is lifted by a cylinder 26, a motor 23 is rotated, and is stopped when a desired hopper 12 is moved to a position directly above a coloring material supply port 13. The cylinder 26 is then lowered, and the end of a drain tube 32 of the hopper 12 is engaged within the port 13. The material in the hopper 12 is melted and pressurized, and is injected into an injection unit 4, and is then injected between a stationary mold 1 and a movable mold 2 in which fastener tape 5 is filled. On the other hand, when the material is changed with different coloring material, an instruction is produced from a controller 17, the motor 23 is operated, a scavenger 16 is operated to scavenge the molds with a brush 14 and a felt 15. Then, the hopper in which the desired material is filled is moved in accordacne with the instruction from the controller 17, and the same operation as described above is performed.
