Abstract
PURPOSE:To call many telephone sets individually by one branch transmission line by using control frequencies which correspond to the dial numbers of the telephone sets. CONSTITUTION:A dial signal and a voice signal from a telephone set 3b are separated by the telephone-set repeater circuit of a coupler 6b. The voice signal is sent to a coupling circuit 13 via a signal line 12, and the dial signal is sent to a control circuit 15 through a signal line 14. The control circuit 15 converts the dial signal into a control signal fn in a voice frequency band, and the fn is sent out to the coupling circuit 13. The fn is combined with the voice signal by the coupling circuit 13 and the resulting signal is sent via an output terminal 8 to a branching device 2b', from which it is sent to another branching device 2n' through a telephone circuit 1. The branching device 2n' sends this signal to the input terminal 7 of a coupler 6n. The signal is sent to a separating circuit 18, which separates the input signal into the voice signal and control signal, which are sent to the telephone-set repeater circuit 11 and a control circuit 15. The control circuit 15 judges that the control signal is a signal fn for calling the telephone set of its station, thereby calling a telephone set 3n.
