Abstract
PURPOSE:To correctively control exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) in accordance with an acceleration and deceleration condition, by utilizing an air quantity sensor and speed sensor, provided in an L-jetronics electronically controlled fuel injection device itself, and detecting the acceleration and deceleration condition of an engine. CONSTITUTION:An air flow meter 15 detects an air flow quantity in an intake device to output a signal, in accordance with the detection, to a control device 50. A speed sensor 29 is built in a distributor 27, and its generated signal is also input to the control device 50. The control device 50 reads an air flow quantity Q and engine speed N to perform calculation of Q/N, calculate a mean intake air quantity per a storke of an engine, perform arithmetic operation of a difference between said mean intake air quantity and the present air intake quantity, in this way, detect the engine for whether actually accelerated or decelerated. Then on the basis of the detection, an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) control valve 32 is controlled.
