Abstract

PURPOSE:To circumferentially rotate a piston and largely improve its lubrication, by converting movement of gas in a combustion chamber into rotary motion of the piston through elements and providing said elements to a top part of the piston provided with a ball joint to its pin part. CONSTITUTION:Hollows 2, with directivity, are provided on a top part of a piston 1, internally provided with a ball joint, and this hollow 2 is used as an element converting movement of gas into rotary motion of the piston. If movement as shown by an arrow head 3 is caused in gas in a combustion chamber, the element 2 catches to convert the movement into the rotary motion of the piston. For the gas movement, a swirl or jet stream of combustion gas from a subchamber to a main combustion chamber can be utilized.
