Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare stretching tape for automatic binding excellent in softening, vertical wear resistance, creep resistance by a method wherein medium, low pressure ethylene copolymer is extrusion-molded in the form of film and then stretched under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:Medium, low pressure ethylene copolymer having an MI of 2.0g/ 10min or less, a density of 0.88-0.93 obtained by copolymerizing ethylene and alpha-olefin (such as propylene) at the presence of Ziegler Natta catalyst is extrusion-molded from a die slit in the form of film, cooled once and then stretched up to 5-10 times at 70-110 deg.C. By this method is obtained the stretched tape having harmonious physical properties such as softening degrees 4-7, vertical wear resistances 10-20, creep resistances 4-8, strengths 4-5g/d.
