PURPOSE:To promote the work efficiency by connecting components of an automatic warehouse system such as machines, operation control units, and stock- control units on line by hierarchy for scattering the function of self-control in each unit. CONSTITUTION:A central controller 23 is connected with a higher computer 5 via an MODEM circuit 13. To the central controller 23, a stacker crane 23, warehousing conveyors 8 and 9, are conveying bogie 10, and warehousing terminals 7 and 7 are connected via respective arithmetic units 29-32. Each terminal is operated by the command of an operation from the central controller 23 on the basis of the judgement of the operation by each arithmetic unit, while the controller 23 is operated by the command of the operation from the higher computer 5. Since the self-control function of each unit is scattered, the work efficiency can be promoted even if the extent of a warehouse is increased.
