Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for air compressors, air dryers and cooling water for ozone generators and to reduce initial and running costs by feeding odor directly to an ozone generator and using this as raw material air for ozonization.
CONSTITUTION: An ozone generator 1 is inserted into the air duct between a capturing blower 2 and a deodorization tower 3. The odorous gases from a capturing blower 2 are fed directly to the generator 1, where ozone is generated in such a way that the concns. of the injected ozone attain 1W3vol.ppm by using the odorous gases as raw material air. The odorous components are deodorized by ozone oxidation in the tower 3, after which the gas is discharged. The cooling of the heat evolved during ozone generation is accomplished by the odorous gases.
