Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the failure due to an even number of bits, by checking the hardware of time slot conversion section by itself, through the addition of one readout cycle newly to the operation cycle of a time slot conversion storage memory. CONSTITUTION:To perform self check of the time slot conversion section, the information tj read out at the 1st readout cycle is stored in the latch register relating to an address register 9. The information read out at the 2nd readout cycle does not access the data buffer memory but it is inputted to a collation circuit 11. At this collation circuit, the content of the register 10 and the information read out at the 2nd readout cycle are compared and collated to check the time slot conversion section by itself.
