Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent play from occurring due to the wear of the bearing of the stirring unit of a chemical equipment or the like, by providing tapered surfaces on a bearing member and a sleeve, which is fitted on a rotary shaft, so that the tapered surfaces are put in sliding contact with each other and by always energizing one of the bearing member and the sleeve in the axial direction to enable it to move in said direction. CONSTITUTION:Since a bearing bush 15 is energized upward by a compressed spring 18, the bush slides upward in a bearing housing 17 due to the wear of the tapered inside surface 15a of the bush so that the tapered surface is pushed on the tapered outside surface 12a of a sleeve 12. For the reason, the tapered surfaces 15a, 12a are kept in proper sliding contact with each other. Play is thus automatically prevented from occurring due to the wear. Slurry or the like between the tapered surfaces 12a, 15a is pushed out into a space A and discharged through outlet ports 15c, 17a. The thermal change in the length of a rotary shaft 11 is absorbed by the spring 18. According to this constitution, the play prevention and lifetime lengthening are enabled.
